Dr. Muhammad Farhan Jahangir Chughtai

I am currently serving as Additional Director and Assistant Professor at the Institute of Food Science & Technology, Faculty of Food, Health Science, and Technology at Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering and Information Technology, Rahim Yar Khan. I hold a Ph.D. in Food Technology from the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, funded by an HEC Indigenous Scholarship. My doctoral research focused on characterizing and analyzing the effects of Stevia rebaudiana, a potent natural sweetener, in managing diabetes and hypercholesterolemia.

I have also had the opportunity to work as a Visiting Scholar at the Agricultural & Biological Engineering (ABE) Department, Bindley Bioscience Center, Discovery Park, Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN, USA, under the IRSIP scholarship by HEC-ISB. Prior to my current role, I served as an Assistant Professor at NUR International University, Lahore, and as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Nutritional Sciences, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences at Fatima Memorial Hospital, Lahore. Additionally, I worked as a Research Associate on an HEC-funded project at the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad for two years, and as a Teaching Assistant for six months.

I have actively participated in and organized numerous national and international conferences, symposia, workshops, seminars, trainings, and webinars, furthering my commitment to academic excellence and professional development.
